Spring RailBreak 2007
Day 3
The last day of our excursion dawned clear, and a bit chilly.
It was a short hop from the hotel in Chickopee to the West Springfield yard.
Some photographers have
all the luck - they can spend all kinds of time waiting for trains in
the perfect spot. Brad and I however had to be back in Maine for a
slideshow at 2 PM. As a result, in perfect light for Eastbounds, we
only saw two Westbounds, then had to bail.
First up was Q11921 which appeared with 5440 West:
Then 583 appeared with Q42121 appeared, and shoved back into the yard:
It was just before 9 AM and we bailed for home.
It was a great trip, Brad and I both had a wonderful time, thanks to great weather, and our tour guide, Ken Buckman.
See you on the rail!
-Joey
